Gifts from God. The perfect sweet foods that taste 100% awesome together and never ever ever taste bad, ever. All natural root beer and premium ice cream? Hell yes.

Not to rain on your parade, but I find that Creme soda goes better. But that's just me. Root beer doesn't taste as sweet to me when mixed with ice cream.

I do agree that floats are awesome, though.

I agree! I'm not a big fan of creme soda... except in ice cream floats.

The last time I had a root beer float I threw up, the foam does NOT sit well in my stomach. Now im totally turned off from root beer.

                  I love root beer!
I like chocolate ice cream in my root beer.

The Amish make great home made root beer. YUMMY UMMY!

Hadn't had a float in a looooong time. Usually had coke in mine. Never cared for root beer though, a bit bitter for my tastes. Maybe they taste better in a float.

:x Now I'm jealous, you jerk!

Saruman: Try Hanks rootbeer in your float. It has a sweeter taste and has a distinct vanilla after taste. Not bitter at all.

I like my root beers a bit bitter.

Oh, I made one and it was fuckin' awesome! Now I'm going out to get sloppy drunk on some real beer.

I don't think Saruman has Hanks rootbeer where he lives....I know we don't have them here, so I think they just don't sell them in this region. I may be wrong though. We have IBC rootbeer (it sucks), A&W rootbeer (not that great), and Barq's rootbeer(the best in my opinion).

In my opinion, the better root beers that I've tasted include:

Virgil's Root Beer (a little too minty, but still good)
                              Natural Brew (the best)
A&W (when you buy it from a resturant, not a store)
Steaz (a good root beer which also contains green tea)

Fakey brands like Mug and IBC, however, suck.

Ice Cream + Root Bear = a Root Beer Float! And I love them, though I don't have them that often, and yes I agree the kind of Root Bear you use certainly can make all the difference.

Also another good combo is ice cream and orange soda for a creamsicle floar. Very tasty too! Does anybody like those??
