    Greetings all,

I am a log time Voltron fan as you can see from my avatar, and I am looking for an affordable set of lions for my Son. He enjoys watching the DVD's with me and I would love to get him a set. All other Volrton swag will be considered as well.

    Thanks!!!!!

I have. All of the lions are selling for a rediculous amount.
I'm looking for something for my Son to play with, not to just sit on a shelf.

You're probably not going to find them below collector's prices at this point in time. With the recent DVD releases and comic books, it's more popular than ever right now. On the plus side, it MIGHT mean we'll se a re-release of some of the toys...

You should check out the official Voltron website (if you haven't already). Lots of cool stuff there. They just put out a Soundtrack CD featuring all of the original music!

                http://www.voltron.com

                Enjoy!

EDIT: Okay, looks like I was right - Toynami is putting out a set of all 5 lions, fully transformable, for only $59.99. That is an AWESOME price for a set like that, and well less than you'd likely pay for the old toys. There's info about it on the Voltron website.

My son had a plastic version of the 5 lions a few years back. They were more or less just like the originals metal set only plastic. I'd keep an eye out for those on ebay. Should be much cheaper than the originals and you don't have to worry about your son destroying a toy with a high collector value.

It's not hard to find, the Lion Tin sets are widely available. Most of what you see on ioffer are bootlegs, usually from inferior sources. Support the official releases, buy from reputable sources. Buying bootlegs of shows that are officially available only hurts the chances of seeing official releases of the rest of the series, or of other shows down the line.

I understand it is nice to own the collection on DVD, but you do know that Voltron is currently on Boomerang right?

I'd rather watch the pristine quality uncut DVDs, watching a chunk of episodes per sitting, than a cut-for-syndication version on TV, one episode per day.

Well, very true there. DVDs do certainly have there advantages that way. I was only letting him know, in case he didn't.

Besides, if you re-read the original post he actually HAS the DVDs and is looking for the toys and other related merchandise.

Wow, do people even read threads before they reply anymore? He has the DVDs. So why would he want crappy off-air copies instead of the gorgeously remastered DVDs? He's looking for OTHER merchandise that ties in with the show.
