Reginald VelJohnson. Aside from playing Carl Winslow on Family Matters I'm pretty sure he played just about every black cop in the 1980's and in some cases a limo-driver. He was in Ghostbusters, Die Hard 1 & 2, Crocodile Dundee and Turner & Hooch to name a few. And get this, he actually went to high school with Ron Jeremy. Holy mother of fuck.

Samuel L. Jackson has got to be the most typecasted. How many times have we seen him as the Badass Motherfucker?

Typecasting is the process by which an actor is strongly identified with a specific character, one or more particular roles, or characters with the same traits or ethnic grouping.

For example, Will Smith has been typecasted as the non-threatening black police officer with an attitude in movies such as Bad Boys I and II, Enemy of the State, Independence Day, Wild Wild West, Men in Black I and II, & Robot.

How about Steven Seagal? How many movies have you seen him play a cop, FBI agent, CIA, Special Forces, Navy SEAL, ex-cop, ex-FBI, ex-CIA, ex-Special Forces/ops, ex-Navy SEAL?

BTW I don't think Will Smith was a cop in Enemy of the State. I think he played a lawyer on the run

Adam Sandler, always plays someone drunk or slow, usually a combination of both.

Sandler has been shying away from those roles lately. But Orlando Bloom has been typecasted for fantasy/historical fantasy films.

I dunno if that would make him typecast or just a really shitty actor. (like Tony Danza always playing characters named Tony)

I have to agree that it's probably Samuel L. Jackson, but you can't blame the man. He just loves to act and is one of the easiest actors to get.
