It's probably been done but oh well . There is a station called boomerang that has old cartoons on it but lately it has has newer ones showing. When i first saw this station i was like great smurfs , pac-man snorks and stuff like that .Now it has cartoons like Pokemon and crap like that .I figure if your gonna make a station that has old cartoons or movies keep it that way there are enough shows to keep running them without adding stuff like 2 stupid dogs and dexters lab .I realize that some people say it is old school to them and thats fine but im 31 and these shows have been off the air for like 15-20 yrs .Unlike what they put on there now which ain't evan more than a few yrs old .Thats my rant and i would like to know what you think or whatever .

Before the 90's cartoons aired on Boomerang, all they showed were Hanna-Barbera cartoons from the 60's and early to mid 70's. Too many Scooby Doo spinoff's along with the Flintstones, Wally Gator and Magilla Gorilla. I think it's good that Boomerang added more variety to their shows. But I have no idea what new cartoons like the Batman are doing on Boomerang.

I don't watch boomerang that much, but yeah we need a progam for retro shows like that...and IT WILL STAY THAT WAY!
I am Ricky, hear me think! :D

Oooh I don't watch Boomerang much, I had no idea they added more modern cartoons to them. Like you said, it may be retro to some people, but really, they need to pick a time frame and stick to it. Like for example, nick at night (which became tvland) started off playing i love lucy and things like that, which at the time were 20-30 years old, no tv land plays the cosby show which is now 20 years old. I think its a good way to change your lineup (because though it may appeal to some people, if they showed nothing but a few seasons of I Love Lucy and Green Acres people would get bored in general), having the lineups change as time goes on but to keep the line up 20 years old at all times. I think if they did the same with Boomerang, the pokemon crap shouldn't be there for another 4 or 5 years.

Even before they added more modern things, Boomerang was never all that great a station since it lacked variety. The majority of what's on there are HB toons, although, I understand why given who owns the station.

It'd be nice to get a station that airs older cartoons, and obscure ones, that aren't just HB based.

I think the point of Boomerang is brining back shows you can't get anywhere else anymore. I know those shows aren't "old", but they took them off the other channel.

I personally love every show they show on Boomerang now because the ones ranging from the 60s through the 90s were the ones I watched as a kid. I couldn't be happier with what they show, but I see your point. I know I'd get really mad if I ever saw something that originated in the 2000s on there anytime soon.

Still, if the progamming was brining back beloved TV shows for someone out there, I'd be okay with it.

i wonder if they brought back pokemon already... ever since cartoon network had that pokemon marathon to start the new diamond & pearl series, the old series hasn't aired on boomerang, and it was in the middle of season 2 before it got taken off...

Boomerang was where I saw Loopy de Loop cartoons.

I wish someone could post them on YouTube.

I couldn't watch a whole day of Boomerang. In my opinion, there is a lot of crappy cartoons on it. Who can actually sit through an entire episode of shows like Penelope Pitstop or Jabberjaw without being stoned? My siblings and cousins (who all grew up in the 1970's and 1980's) rave on these shows like if they was the best thing on earth and much better than the stuff I grew up with. Sorry if I offended anyone who likes those shows but they aren't my thing. They don't show Looney Tunes that much anymore. They don't show too many 1990's cartoons either.

Boomerang fucking owns but they have too many fucking post 1994 cartoons on there. I dont want to watch no cartoon cartoon shit! I rather watch some of those 70s shows. mlw, how can you not like 70s cartoons! Hong Kong Phooey, Captain Caveman (and the sexy Teen Angels), Godzilla, all fucking rock and much better than all that Pokemon junk. Pokemon is shit and is NOT old school. LOL.

It's your opinion. I personally don't like those shows, I find them formulatic (sp?) and boring.

Some of those 70s shows are awful, imo. The shows you named, I personally never liked them. I liked Pokemon, though, up to a point, until I just gre bored.

Hong Kong Phooey had a great theme song, Captain Caveman was boring to me, 'cept for when he was on Flintstone Kids, and Godzilla was always "meh" to me. I'm with mlw1984 where this is concerned. Boomerang shows too many HB cartoons. Now, cartoons outside of HB, like say, WB cartoons, I'm sure my opinion would be completely different.

Yeah, most of the stuff on Boomerang isn't all that great. But since I got Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Popeye and Droopy on (and the GOOD H-B series like The Flintstones and Jonny Quest) on DVD, I don't really watch it much any more.

I remember not too long ago, Boomerang aired a show called Samson and Goliath. What an awful piece of drek. That one should of never been made.

That sounds familiar. Is it done in the same animation style as Morel Orel which is supposed to be a spoof of that series?
