In our cafeterias in elementary school, we had a kind of score board at the end of each table. We started with a 5, then if the kids talked it would go down to a 4 and eventually a 0. If we got a 3 or lower, we got no recess.
Also in fifth grade, we were forced to three things in recess. We could only play kickball or some other games. When my friend and I tried to play basketball style game, our old hag of a teacher came in yelling,"That is not one of the games we are letting you play!!" One morning she told the class,"Our inspirational quote of the day kinda has something to do with our new recess rules. It is,"If you don't like something, change your attitude so you will like it," or some crap like that.
