We started with a 5, then if the kids talked it would go down to a 4 and eventually a 0. If we got a 3 or lower, we got no recess. Also in fifth grade, we were forced to three things in recess. We could only play kickball or some other games. When my friend and I tried to play basketball style game, our old hag of a teacher came in yelling,"That is not one of the games we are letting you play!!" One morning she told the class,"Our inspirational quote of the day kinda has something to do with our new recess rules. It is,"If you don't like something, change your attitude so you will like it," or some crap like that.

I mean what's worse than Having a Pruodie* Teacher get antsy on you for saying it, is a couple of Tattle Asses going to the teacher about it. And You have a bunch of asshole/F###tard clASSmates and they start talking shit to ya , you're not kidding anyone with saying be quiet! nope lame ass.

My elementary school had something similar in the form of a traffic light for noise ordnance. At the beginning of every lunch period, the light would be green. If the kids got a little too loud, the light would turn yellow and make a fast beeping sound. This would be an indicator for the children to quiet down. If they didn't, the light turned red and spat a loud buzz, to which the kids had to be dead silent until the light turned green again.

bassman21 6 years 5 months ago Posts: 4553	OMG some of these rules are so gaye. A stop light in the lunch rooms for noise??? Give me a break!!! I never understood why they made such a big deal about us being noisy during lunch. I mean were any students lunch bothered by it? I remember in elementary one year we had to take turns which table could talk. Even if someone whispered to another student they would yell to "stop talking". The main issue then was how they made a big deal about everything. JR high lets see. We had to walk on the right side of the halls and they had a teacher on every hall to make sure you did. No shorts were allowed, but this changed at the end of the year in 8th grade. Overall JR was pretty cool especially because of all the cool fights that broke out HS they let the students get away with too much and that caused problems. Part of the issue was the school was afraid being labeled racist if they disciplined the students. This changed after I left when they got a Hispanic principal. Anyway some district wide rules were no cell phones or pagers period. Guess what almost every student had a pager. No baggy pants. You guessed most of the students wore baggy pants. One rule that really pissed me off was how we had to get all permission slips notarized. We ended up not talking any field trips because no one in the class would do it. I always felt during school like we were always missing out on stuff other schools got to do, like going on field trips. I remember in biology we never did any lab work because the teacher said we were a bad class which wasn't true. So we never got to dissect a frog or any of that cool stuff. In other classes some of the cool stuff they text books had we would skip over it. I don't remember the rest, but it was like they went out of there way to make school as boring as possible.

Around that time you were cool when you rocked a full tail and cuffed you jeans and wore karate kicks. You guys should remember that. The boys had the long tails and the girls had the puffy bangs. Well, all the boys had to cut theirs off because it was prohibited in school grounds. That was lame. Oh, and another one was that you couldn't where or even sport any brand of cartoon that wasn't kid friendly (i.e. the simpsons). I used to have a bart simpson lunchbox and was forced not to bring it; a rule made by the school officials. Man, christian schools bites.

ethandaman24 6 years 5 months ago Posts: 784	Here's one I forgot to mention, I can never forget in elementary school that whenver the playground was wet, even a little bit, the teacher would always yell "BLACKTOP ONLY!" Imagine how bad it was during the blizzard of 96' and 03'

This isn't a rule, but at my high school we had a club called "Gay straight alliance" which is GSA for short, its just a club where gays and straights can get together and discuss topics and blah blah, and then we got this black principal who was against gays and wanted to get rid of the club, but he couldnt so he just changed the name to "The spectrum", HOW STUPID.

System 6 years 5 months ago Posts: 74809	Let's see, in elementary school we had silent lunches if we were warned about noise 2 times. In 2nd grade red rover was banned because we used to crane people. haha It was awesome. SOCCER WAS BANNED! I don't know how but it happened in 4th grade. In high school our class was the worst in school history, we had 190 bomb threats, a stabbing, guns in lockers. (We live in Maine for Christ's sakes!) So because of that you weren't allowed to get a drink or go to the bathroom during class and there was only one bathroom in the school you could use. They also alarmed every door so you couldn't leave unless it was the front door. School sucked haha.

vgcf 6 years 5 months ago Posts: 33	In Middle School backpacks we're banned. BANNED!. Why? Because they we're afraid kids would bring guns to school and other weapons concealed in them. We weren't also allowed to use lockers sometimes so carrying books and a binder was a bitch.
