Real Ghostbusters has been my #1 anticipated show to be released on DVD. I figured they would probably do it with the upcoming Ghostbusters video game...which will probably spark some Ghostbusters interest. When they say 26 DVDs, do they mean there will be several different sets that total 26 discs...or is that going to be one massive set? Cause, I don't think the average Ghostbusters fan will want to shell out $200 for a 26 disc set.

This is the best news I've heard in a LOOONG time.

The fact that it will include both the original series and the "Slimer & The Real Ghostbusters" (which was done with different voices and a completely different segmented style) seals the deal for me.

So far it's looking like it's going to be the 26 disc set, I know it's going to be pricey but for the Real Ghostbusters especially the first 2 seasons, that will be worth it alone. Hopefully we'll get some decent special features too.
Who knows what is really real? That is the true question isn't it?

Sounds awesome, problem is, it's being released by Time Life, which there's nothing wrong with that except for the fact that it won't be released in stores. You'd have to either order off the internet or make a phone call.

Wow! I too have been waiting forever for this. Funny thing is I downloaded the entire series a few months ago. The episodes are good, but they just didn't hold up as well for me as other cartoons. I got burnt out on them around season 3 or 4. =(
