I'd also like to request that this thread is made sticky.
So basically you collect something? Anything? Small collection? Big collection? Take pictures and stick it here for people to admire! Also, talk about the "crown jewels" of your collections.
Here's general pictures of my bigger collections
my movies....with a few video games that I don't play very often on the bottom

Keep in mind I used to work in the warehouse for a dvd distribution company so that helped make my collection grow. I did sell off a load of movies I never watched anymore.
Secondly....my more prized video games

After having them on my dvd rack for a while I figured (....I spent a lot of money to get these games....maybe I should stick them somewhere safer). And I have an old electronics unit with shelves and a glass door sitting in my closet....so I put my more rare and important games in there so they would be safer (yes still easy to access when wanting to play them)
And lastly....my rare home systems

Each one is an awesome collectible for its own reason.
on the top left we have the AV famicom. Why is it better than the NES or the original famicom? First, it's top loader, so it has no problem reading cartridges. Secondly, it looks way better than the original famicom and the NES. Thirdly (and most importantly), it's the only model of the NES/famicom that works over composite cables supporting full stereo sound. And to make things even sweeter it uses the same composite plug as the snes and the n64. Fourthly, it defaults to playing import japanese carts, and with a simple adapter (which I have) it plays US games if english is your thing. Finding an adapter to play japanese carts on a NES is much more difficult. It's an extremely rare model of the NES and the cheapest one I can find on ebay right now is 200$ before shipping. However I managed to snag this one including priority shipping from japan for *drum roll* 100$. But it took a lot of careful hunting on ebay to come across it.
On the top right we have the super famicom. Not quite as rare as the AV famicom. Doesn't do anything special that the snes can't do (with the removel of the plastic tabs in the cartridge bay). But oh man does it ever look better than the snes. And the controllers are much better than the ones on the snes. Better looking and don't have indented x and y buttons. It's great though because I can play my japanese imports on it and get the "original" experience for the games.
And on the bottom is my snes model 2. On ebay it goes for 60$ before shipping. But I snagged mine in some random pawn shop for 40$. Now what makes this system so great? A few things. First, like the AV famicom, it only supports multi-out and doesn't have the lower quality RF plug in the back of the system. Secondly, the video card it has produces a much more crisp and clear image than the original snes/super famicom hardware. Thirdly, it's not that great looking of a system so I didn't mind doing the plastic tab removel mod on it that lets me play my import games on it.
And of course all these systems are nintendo products so you get the 100% nintendo experience which you don't quite get with a clone or emulation.
