I'm going to lay this at the feet of the MuzikMafia crowd (Big And Rich, Gretchen Wilson, people like that). What kind of country music talent uses that spelling anyway? I'd expect that out of rappers, but country musicians?
I couldn't agree more. For me, the dislike of country music started in the late 90's. I still like country music from the mid 90's back, but all of the new stuff sucks to me. It's just WAY too pop. A good example are the Rascal fags, I mean Rascal Flatts. Just a country version of Nsync in my opinion. Older country was prefomed by actual country preformers, and they were about an actual "country" lifestyle that people could relate to. Now it's mostly about teeny boppers or a "white trash fad" Everyone shouts out about how proud they are to be a redneck because it's all the rage and sells......Weak
Just like the Blue Collar Comedy crew. Now *THOSE* are some fakes, especially Larry The Cable Guy, whose real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney. He was a coke-snorting preppie from the mid-West who actually performed stand-up comedy in the early 90s under his real name. That didn't really get him anywhere, so he adopted a Southern idiot persona and has fooled legions of Southerners into thinking he's one of their own. This guy can pull a scam like no one's business. Is it any wonder he appeared in a video with Gretchen Wilson, another disgrace to the concept of country?
Nice. I didn't know any of that about that idiot. I never liked him anyway, so I never cared where he was from. That's awesome to know that he not only sucks, but he's a huge fake.
