Does anyone still collect sports cards? Or do they produce so many sports cards nowadays that none of them are valuable? I have a huge binder that is mostly composed of cards from the 90's. My earliest cards are from 1985. By the way I'm not talking about just baseball, I mean football and basketball as well.

I don't know anyone who still collects sports cards, but my older brother used to back in the early 90s.

I, too have a ton of sports cards from the late 80's to early 90's. Apparently, they printed so many in the early 90's that most of them are worthless. :-(

I have a damn large collection of basketball cards from the late 80's to about 95. Many full sets. I have them in the 3x3 card sleeves and they cover my walls. But I have some hidden gems. 1970/71 tall boy basketball cards including a Wilt Chamberlain, 4 Bob Laniers and many other very valuable cards. I found those at an antique store for 50 bucks! I priced and graded them for over 3,000!

I used to have a cigar box filled with baseball and football cards. I'm sure people still collect them, but not as much as back in the day. I think the market is kinda diluted and cards aren't worth as much anymore.

I used to have two complete sets from the early 90's, Fleer 1991 and O-Pee-Chee 1993. I thought the O-Pee-Chee '93 cards were cool cause on the back of each card it showed the official venue of the player's team. It turns out that even having those complete sets aren't worth much, a couple of dollars each. I felt like I got burned after I had bought so many packs of Fleer '91 cards and stopped collecting baseball cards and getting into record collecting full on, I was already getting into that as a young kid in the late 80's anyway.

The market is definately diluted. But, there are some REALLY cool cards out there now. They have cards that have "game used" items on them like pieces of Jersey's, Bats, balls, etc...one company is selling cards that have Babe Ruth's legit autograph!!

For Non-sports cards like the new Iron Man cards, there are cards that contain pieces of the costumes used in the movie. There are even cards with famous hollywood actors.

Cards have DEF come a LONG way from the days of cheap hard bubble gum sticks and cards wrapped in wax paper! lol

I collect some Baseball and a ton of Hockey. I send mine out and have the players sign them.
