#1> Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters - No home conversion ever came about of this. There was apparently a PC port, but never saw it. Rumors of a Lynx version sprung about, but again... never saw it. The ONLY game I ever beat on ONE token!!
#2> NARC - One of the first 32-bit games out there, and one of the best. Graphics were high-def, smooth, and the game was ultra-hard. You plunked down quarters like a mo-fo. I spent like 5 to 10-tokens just to get to the crazy clowns.
#3> The Ninja Warriors - Another 32-bit game. Two TV's wide, and it was a fun side scroller smackin' around hitler. Great music, yet a simple game. I think it was just the novelty of it all at the time.
#4> Assault - Wow. The whole concept... you can't mimic this on a MAME machine on your PC with the duel-shock controller. It has to be arcade-only, with the speakers jacked, the whole controller setup, and the zoom/rotation effects. It was a fun ride!
#5> Smash TV - Big Money, Big Prizes... I loved it all. I can't find out how many tokens it took to get to the 2nd level, but I was glad when the SNES version came out so I could explore some more what I missed. One day me and a kid found a few machines at the arcade with a dip switch and set about 100 credits on a few games without the operator knowing. This was one of them.
#6> Pac-Land. My true nastalgia. I don't know why, but I used to always turn to this game, even as the 90's came about. I plunked my token in here, and sometimes started on Level-1, sometimes on Level-4... but always completing it to the end.
#7> S.T.U.N. Runner! Only the sit-down version was acceptable in my tastes, and only could I start at Level-1 and work my way up to level-6 past the Bonus Round (filling in my name with dirty words that were censored *sigh*)... to the warp-zone. what a game.
#8> APB. Another Atari classic that you can't re-create at home because when you interrigate suspect, pounding on that one big-ass button is just so satisfying... plus all the exploring is so fun...
#9> Aliens. Yea, give me that flame, gun bitch! Something about that weapon just feels so right.
#10> The Simpsons Arcade Game: Only because... plunking down the tokens... maybe gazing into the screen and watching the opening intro each time facinated how cool it mimicked the real cartoon, or just how it was a neat side-scroll/beat-em up game!
