I forget what exactly it was for, but there's this one commercial where this angel is looking for some sort of dessert, a pastry or cupcake or something like that. She can't find any of it, freaks out, literally turns into a devil while the heaven backdrop turns to hell, and it lasts for a minute or so. Then she finally finds it and turns back to normal. That whole bit left me unnerved for a while.

If anyone else remembers it, and remembers what treat it was supposed to be advertising, could they post a link?

It's real! Most of the G1 Transformers commercials have a kid turning into a Transformer at the end. The Beast Wars commercials that zoom into a CGI dinosaur's eye at the beginning also scared me even though I loved Transformers at the time.

Tamagotchi Angels. It's not what you're looking for, but you reminded me of it. Two angels are arguing over which Tamagotchi is better, and they start saying "Mine! Mine!". One of the angels turns into a devil and shouts "MINE!!!" while the heaven backdrop turns to hell. But God (is it?) reminds them to play nice. I would've liked if that devil part was longer.

I also remember seeing one on TV a few times here in Canada and it had a young boy sitting on a chair and he was wearing a pair of shorts. I remember he was saying the days of the week starting with Sunday and then continuing on while making these dots on his arms, legs and stomach. When he is done it shows all of the places where he is supposed to give himself his insulin shots over the course of a week. I actually want to find this episode and Youtube doe not have it.

The two commercials that scared me most when I was little, I can't remember what were for. Both aired around 1988/1989 in the Washington, D.C. area. Can anyone help me identify these commercials?

One opened with the line, "It's a new day in Washington...." It showed a rambler-style house in the dark. The end of the commercial showed someone wearing heart monitors running on a treadmill (i.e. taking a stress test). The commercial may have been for a hospital or health insurance company, but I just don't remember. I don't know why this commercial scared me so much, but it did.

The second commercial opened with an elderly lady falling down the steps. I believe it was for First Alert, but I have searched those commercials (and Life Alert commercials) on YouTube, and could not find anything close to what I remember.

The Big Babol gum commercial where this kid mutates into a big cup, a rabbit, and a few mega creepy human insect things. This commercial continues to scare me and I do not want anyone to link it or anything

                    I'm sorry, but...

Pardon the bump, but I guess there's this one with this lil guy who'd walk out to the screen and then turn into the obnoxious thing that looked like the cross between the Press Your Luck whammy and Sonny the Cuckoo bird and that thing from the twilight zone movie! all the lil creeper did was yell out all these specials and bargains ala Crazy Eddie and then as it ended the monstrosity turned back in to this lil guy again.. I was disturbed.........

Okey Update sombody uploaded the commercial and I was 1/2 right about my description I don't remember the flaming hair though...

                        cpcandopc,

I remember that angel/devil commercial. Something tells me that it was for a cream cheese or yogurt that was lower in fat than it tasted. I don't remember exactly what the commercial was for, though.

Believe it or not, but the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red & Blue Rescue Team commercial used to scare me. I was 2 or 3 at the time, and I remember seeing that ad come on, and the beginning with Totodile going "Woah" and all that scared the crap out of me. I kinda remember eating M&M's at the time, and I think I might have been in the car, meaning this commercial was on a DVD we had, but it is highly unlikely. Yep, I was scared of freaking Totodile as a kid. Nowadays, I just laugh because I love Pokémon.

That one Pokémon ad with the evil bus driver crushing all the Pokémon in his bus. I first saw it with my cousin, and I remember he provided nightmare retardant by making a reference to "Barney is the Evil Bus Driver".

Pinchface was voiced by Tom Kenny. Aside from voicing SpongeBob, he was also that creepy human face on the drop of hot sauce in the episode "Karate Choppers". Yep.
