Does this decade have an identity?

To name just a few: 1970s: hippies 1980s: Yuppies/Materialism 1990s: slacker cynicalism There just doesn't seem to be anything that truly sticks out, from a pop culture standpoint, that you can really hang over the decade. There's not even a new kind of genre of music that pops up, like in other decades. Thoughts?
