The first game I've played was Frogger on ColecoVision or, maybe it was my sister playing as I watched. I don't remember well. I also played Super Mario Bros. on NES at my cousin's place. But, I was 6 and I couldn't stop falling by the first hole... :?

Go there, you can download TONS of old Sierra and LucasArts games. Make sure you hit the games tabs to see the lucasArts ones. You have to DL some things called Scrumm and DOSbox but they're small DLs and the games work great. Now you can play King's Quest again, and the rest up to KQ 7.

My foggiest memory says something about Donkey Kong on this strange, black drive I tested at one of my buddies homes. Either that or SMB1 on NES Christmas... 1990, IIRC. Was something like 6 or 7 at that time, so sorry if my memory isn't exactly sharp. :D

I remember that game!!!! It was awesome and I remember spending hours in front of my Commodore 128 trying to beat it. I just can't remember the name of it. Maybe it was Mouse Trap?

Anyway, the first game I ever played was Donkey Kong Jr. on my Colecovision.

I had an Atari and several games, but there is no way for me to remember the first. I was born in 80'

So, My First Nintendo Game - Other than Mario/Duckhunt - Was Kung Fu. Loved that game... Only Five Levels :?

My first game was Ghostbuster on the MSX (way back in the 80s!).

I remember it cost me something like £8-£9 which way back then was loads of money for a kid my age (but then I remember a time when £25 would buy you the best Xmas present ever - Mask's Boulder Hill!!!).

I saved my pocket money for ages, and then remember going to the shop to get it! It was full of so many great games, but I got what I wanted.

The shop was so cool they had all the current computers set up and actually loaded the game you wanted to buy so you could see it was working etc - this was because tape games were always hit or miss as to if they worked or not!

Can't argue with that! you should check out our article section on best playsets of the 80's and that one topped the list! It would be awesome to see how they could pull off Boulder Hill in a live-action movie. :D

                                  Nice article there!

Some nice playsets! I know it was only a top ten, but you can't forget the Ghostbuster Fire Station! That was awesome!

I'm going to repeat this in the proper Mask thread you made for me ;) But it won't hurt to say here.

When I make my millions I will do all I can to make sure they make a Mask film!! And if anyone here gets there first, please employ me as some form of consultant or something - I won't let you down!

You have to film somewhere nice in America though and get me out there to er oversee something ;)

I definetly want a piece of that movie! :D

Northern California is perfect for the type of envirnoments seen in the series, I think it was even supposed to take place there.

But knowing the cheap executives they'll shoot it in the most arctic parts of Canada or something to save cash.

                                      Reaper you're in mate!

Now all I need is a lot of luck, quite a few million £££ and a studio to take the movie on.......

Here is another question though, possibly not retro, but who would do the effects for us - ILM or Weta of Lord of the Rings fame..... Now Weta are good, looking at LOTR and King Kong, but ILM are used to doing futuristic type things..................

                                      What a dilemma!

To get this thread back on track my first game was a Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet cartridge for NES.

As in, whats the first video game you've played in your life? Mine was a NES game called Dragon Warrior, which credits for being the first RPG to be on a console. I didn't get very far in it (leveling up a lot got too boring for me), but it helped kicked a start in my lust for RPG's.

First game for me was Mario 3 for NES. I was 5 at the time. It was so funny though, the whole first night I could not get past the first koopa waddler dude on the first level, I was screaming and yelling. Eventually I got in trouble and had to watch everyone else play.

I had that game for about 4 years, and i never beat it, until this last summer when I went to my sisters wedding. Of course I dont feel like Ireally beat it because I used like 2 or 3 whistles...
