First home video game I can remember playing was on the Atari 2800.
I can't remember the name of it, but I remember it was pretty cool. You were in the first person perspective of a starship, and you warped around to differant star systems looking for space pirates to shoot out of the sky... er... space.

I guess it was the Pacman cart that came with my Atari 2600. The first game I remember buying for our 2600 was Asteroids.

It was hazy but my first REAL video game was either Sonic and tails, Pokemon red or blue, or Super mario land for game boy 1

I'm sure it had to have been something like Pong or Pacman... or something for the Commodore 64... I honestly can't remember.

The first game I played was the Ghostbusters game for the NES. I'm pretty sure it was the only Ghostbusters game for the NES, even though it was still called Ghostbusters II if memory serves correctly.

The "Pong" or "Jai-Alai" for the Magnavox Odyssey. This is circa 1980-81, so I could be wrong on the system. I just remember the black and white screen with the console that had two or three pre-set games to play. All were variants of "Pong," I believe.

On a side note, I just picked up a yellow Magnavox Odyssey complete in-box at a flea market for a measly $8.

Was that "Starmaster?" I had a game like that for the 2600 and it required a special pad controller that had different commands on it for your ship. It was an old Activision game, I think.

I was first let on the Atari 2600 by my sister's at the ripe young age of 3, I believe it was Pitfall! that was my first game, though it might have been Adventure.

First console owned new, an 8-bit NES in 1992, complete with The Legend Of Zelda, Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, and Bigfoot.

First Arcade game, it was some sit down driving game that was top down view, in a dark 80's style video arcade with purple lighting (sigh), I miss the old arcades, complete with ambient lighting and Dokken blaring in the background.

                        Jeez, I can't really recall.

My first LOVE was Magic Pockets on the ST, but I had been played games years before.

Might of been something on the ST or C64. I'll have a think

I have to go with Adam Ant on this one, my first games were definitely Pac-Man and Combat on the Atari 2600. Breakout! was an early one too.

I still remember how excited I was playing that Atari. It was so cool. Then I received one of those mini-arcade looking games, the Pac-Man one, with the tiny joystick. I played that to death...

[quote="nippythefish&q First PC game was some weird maze game on the Apple II. quote]

I think you are speaking of a mini-game that came with the Apple II GS. It was part of the Apple II GS tutorial, which starred a crocodile dundee sort of looking guy with a little robot sidekick. The mini-game was supposed to teach you how to use a mouse, and you guided him through an isometric underground maze. (It looked like an ant farm almost) ...

This was the first video game I ever played.

After that, we had an Atari, with almost every game that ever came out for it.

But who remembers MARBLE MADNESS for the Apple II? That was the shit fo' real! :D
