Chex Mix isn't bad, but really I go for the rye chips! Do you know that you can buy bags of just rye chips? Tasty stuff!

I actually prefer Gardetto's, as far as mix things like that with bagel chips goes. In Texas there is a homemade version of Chex Mix, that is usually given around Christmas, and it's called "Texas Trash". Why it's called that I don't know, but it's usually pretty spicy. Usually spicier than the "spicy" Chex Mix. Here is a recipe I found online, but I usually add more spice to it, like some tobasco.

          Texas Trash

          2 c. Corn Chex
          2 c. Wheat Chex
          2 c. Rice Chex
          1 can mixed nuts
          1 c. pretzels
          1 stick butter
          1 tsp. seasoned salt
          6 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
          1/2 tsp. red pepper

Melt butter in saucepan on top of stove. Add all seasonings and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Pour over dry cereal and coat well. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in airtight container until serving time.
