Oh fuck. They are fucking great. I saw them back in 2001 and they were great. (Yeah, I know it wasn't the original line up. But it was still awesome.) But they didn't play Hush, which pissed me off.

Love 'em. I've got In Rock and Machine Head on vinyl. I caught their Live 8 set online, I thought they put on one of the best sets of anyone, Ian Gillian's voice has held up pretty well.

I haven't really gotten into them yet, but I heard Smoke On Water, and it is a good song.

My favorites from them are Highway Star, Fireball and Lazy.

I have a few of their albums on CD. I have Shades Of Deep Purple, Machine Head, Made In Japan, and and 30: Very Best of.

I find it funny how they say that the riff from Smoke On The Water is the first thing everybody learns to play on the guitar, however the way most people play it is wrong according to what I heard them say on the "Classic Albums" episode dedicated to the album. Anyway, where I came from the first thing everybody learned to play was the little opening ditty from Blister In The Sun by the Violent Femmes.
