Just curious, are there any guys who actually like chick flicks? If so, which ones?
The more embarrassing, the better. :D

Conversely, are there any girls who hate chick flicks? I for one enjoy the occasional rom-com, especially after seeing an intense movie like "No Country for Old Men".

I'm almost embarrassed to say this, but I loved the heck out of "While You Were Sleeping."

For whatever reason, some primates seem to think that the Bridgett Jones movies are "Chick Flicks".
I simply adore them. Her witty dialogue, and quirky relationship problems are endearing to the point of induced male menstruation.

I think this might be considered a "chick flick", but it's still pretty terrible.

Haha, I love every chick flick you guys mentioned. Well, except for "Boy Eats Girl"....never seen it...

And I meant, I like watching a rom-com AFTER watching an intense movie to feel "balanced", like punky said.

In college after a really hard exam, nothing was more satisfying than watching a mindless, super-corny chick flick!

Serendipity strictly for Kate Beckinsale, and I like John Cusak's style.
Love, Actually. What an amazingly well written and directed Romantic Comedy. I think the Comedy stood out far more for me then the Romance. It makes you feel good after you've watched it.

I do like "Nine To Five" and "Steel Magnolias" is OK, and I don't know if this is considered a "chick flick" but "Shallow Hal" is a great movie, and those I've dated in the past always loved it, even though they find it sexist at first. But the whole inner beauty thing, and the fact that Jack Black finds her beautiful at the end when he sees her as herself is kind of chick flicky.

Is "Say Anything" considered a chick flick? It has some of the symptoms, but I think it's just a plain old classic. But if it is a chick flick then I'll add that to my list.

Wow, I've never known a guy who admitted to liking those Dolly Parton classics. :P

Yeah, the others you mentioned are chick flicky, but I see how they're more tolerable to guys. Same with "Love, Actually", I know a bunch of guys who liked that movie.

What about the Julia Roberts powerhouses? Or "When Harry Met Sally", "Sleepless in Seatle", or "Thelma & Louise"?

And what about the most chick-flicky of them all: TERMS OF ENDEARMENT? :o

I'm a guy who liked "Music and Lyrics"
I laughed a lot. It was full of funny stuff and the love story was pretty good too.

Also, "Fever Pitch" was pretty good.
