I remember an arcade used to be in a shopping area not too far from home. A card/comic/sports memorabilia shop used to be walking distance from my house. Comics used to be available in 7-Eleven and Target. Now all these cool things are only available at specialty places, which is good for comic shops I guess.

Does anyone know the name of this game?

        EDIT:
I found it out by myself.

I think the one I played alot was called Afterburner. It was a flying game and the machine moved whichever direction you moved the joystick.

I'm just curious...What is the name of the arcade you would frequent?

Mine was called Time-Out. There was also a much smaller one at the bowling alley which didn't have a name. Years after I stopped going to them, a bunch of new ones sprung up called Stop 'N Play.

I don't think I ever went to one arcade more than any other. The ones we had here when I was younger:

Time Out (plus Time Out eXtreme)
                        Time Zone
                        Mid City + Yiffans
                        Supertek
                        Super Sam's
                        Pinball Arcade
                        Lunar Park

Plus the small ones inside movie theatres.

I only ever saw the actual console for TMNT once, it was in some small middle-of-nowhere town whose name I can't remember. So my friends and I only ever got to play it two-player together (we could only be Leonardo or Michaelangelo), but it was cool because it was only 20c for two credits.

The Punisher is one of my favorites. It was pretty damn violent. You could steal people's knives and slash them. You could blow up cars, leaving a charred body. You could steal a blowtorch. Kingpin is one of the toughest bosses I ever fought in an arcade game.

I remember playing Knights of the Round, while we were on a family vacation in Florida... At some pizza parlour.

I spent at least 6 or 7 dollars of quarters on it at one sitting... The game was SOOOO much fun.. Probably because i was only about 11 or 12 at the time and heavy into medieval history.

Knights of the Round = GOOD Game, Great Memory

I don't remember my first arcade experience but I can tell you that I'm sure I've sent most of the staff's kids, at Midway, to college from all the money I spend on Mortal Kombat II. Looking back I could have bought my own personal machine had I saved those quarters instead of pumping them into money hungry beast. Kintaro, you bastard!!! Sorry, flashback moment.
