Yep. It makes every character have the exact same personality.
It's like he thought that cramming witty little comebacks into every character's dialogue was far more important than making each character unique.
I think the older and more cynical I get, the less I like his movies. He seems like one of those guys that thinks he's unbelievably cool, just because he makes movies about gangsters that say "fuck" a lot.
