Im pissed. I wanted to make cupcakes today, but it was late at night around 8. I wanted to make funfetti cupcakes with vanilla frosting. I checked online to see if Betty Crocker frosting had trans fat (because I don't eat trans fat), and it says it didn't, then I went to the store to get the ingredients, and I found out that it has 1.5g of trans fat in every 2 friggin tablespoons! Disgusting!

Does anyone know any really good and easy ways of making your own vanilla frosting?

In a small saucepan bring 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved. In a medium bowl combine the vanilla syrup with 2 cups confectioner's sugar. Stir until smooth. Working quickly, use a rubber spatula spread the icing on the top of the cupcakes. If the icing begins to firm up, place in the microwave for a few seconds to warm up again.

I think the vanilla syrup is the stuff you simmer in the pan, and yeah you can probably reheat on the stove.
