In case there are any fans on RJ,
Weezer's 6th (and possibly final) album will be coming out this June! Rivers released a solo album this past December called
Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo which has a bunch of previously recorded songs and other good stuff.

I've been a fan since I saw them perform in 1994, and I got a chance to be in their music video for "Beverly Hills" but none of my shots made the cut. :(

I loved them back in the 90's, especially the blue album and Pinkerton. "Say it Ain't So" is such a rockin' tune...even to this day. I have followed them a bit over the years, but the 90's Weezer is where it is at for me. I was a teen during that time period and I really related to their music. Now I'm almost 30 and their new stuff is a little too soft for me since I am into death metal and shit like that now.

Has anybody else noticed that the albums with the band on the cover are commercial successes (Blue Album, Green Album, Make Believe) and the albums that don't have them on the cover are flops, yet still great albums (Pinkerton, Maladroit). I have no idea why, but when they put the band on the album cover the album sells.

^ Interesting observation...I hope that they see that, too, and put themselves on the cover for safe measure! :)

I bought the new album about a month ago, and to tell the truth, it was kinda dissapointing..the only good songs were "Pork and Beans", "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived", and "Troublemaker"...the rest were pretty much crap, in my opinion.

I remember Weezer. They used to play that "Buddy Holly" song all the time on the radio in the early 90's. I loved that song and I had the accompanying album. I also remember seeing the music video for "Buddy Holly" on "Beavis and Butthead" back in the day.

I'm pretty sure they lost me in the same way that Saves The Day lost me. As in, they began to sound lifeless, hollow, and cheap.
