It's funny that people born in the 1990s automatically consider themselves 1990s kids but people born in like let's say 1984/1985 are confused whether they are 1980s kids or 1990s kids.

That is interesting, and I'm going to change what I said earlier.

        I'm an 80s kid, but a 90s teen. =P

I noticed that too. and like I said earlier. I was born in 73. I'm an 80s kid.

if you still were to young to walk around the block by yourself when a decade ended. You are not a kid of that decade. and the person here who was born in 92. I hate to break it to ya but you are a 00's kid.
Sure about that? I was born in '81, and I was allowed to walk around the block by myself as young as six. By the end of the decade, I would've been 8. I pretty much consider myself an 80s kid.

And I still disagree with you. I was a "kid" in the 80s longer than I was a "kid" in the 90s. To me, kids are those 12 and under. I'd actually argue 10 and under.

In other words, I lived my life as a "kid" in the 80s. For the majority of the 90s, I lived it as a teenager.

That does make good sense and I admit you put me on the fence. But I still say it's from what decade you have the most enjoyable memories from and even though I do have some great memories from the 70s. I have a hell of a lot more from the 80s. I do see where you are coming from by saying you are a kid until you are 12. But I say you are a kid until you finish school or turn 18. whatever comes first.

i was born in 94 but i actually consider myself as a 90s baby/kid since i could do everything that a kid can do when i was 1(talking and walking) and i have a great memory of what i watch on TV from 1994-1999 ( like the 1994 kids choice awards ( favorite show: Home Improvement )) and also i could play toys for older kids at 3 ( mostle stuff from the early 1990s/mid 1990s ( like a sega master system 1st gen ( still have it )) and most of all of my toys were for 3-10 year olds.

I was born in '91, so that must makes me a 90s kid.

Or maybe because we actually remember it too...

                          That's great.

I, as well as a lot of other users of this forum, believe that if you FEEL like a kid of a certain decade, and remember it, then you ARE.

Well technically I would probably be considered more of a 90s kid cause I was born in 1988, but I'd like to think of myself as an 80s and 90s kid! :) I wish I could be a 70s, 80s, and 90s kid, but I don't think I could get away with saying that. haha.

I'm a 90's kid/90's person...I still dress "90's". (I was born in 85). My fave part of that decade we 92-97. I hated the end of the 90's, music was crap and so was the fashion. I so wish I was a gen-Xer.

Princess is right and you're an idiot. Just because someone was born in the 90's they sure as hell are not a 90's kid. I was born in 80 and i don't think im a 80's kid... maybe late 80's.

I know some people who would say they were a child of the 60's even though they were born well after that decade, they're just pseudo hippies and choose to embrace part of that decade...the music and the fashion, etc. When you were born does not necessarily dictate which decade you associate with.

I had a lot of pop culture influence in the 80's because my siblings were teenagers and so I was exposed to a lot of 80's things other than what a child would be exposed to (my fave song when I was 3 was "Another Brick in the Wall";) but I am not an 80's kid cause I like 90's pop culture better, mainly the music.
