    Boy can you imagine:

mother 1: young man, can you let my child off of there?

    Child 1: Screw you

Mother 2: Hey, get away from my kid!

Mother 1: I just wanted to get my child off the playset

They had that big gap in the bars at the top. If you really wanted to you could climb out, or if the drop was too much for you your parents could lift you out.

If it were me I would have just kicked the kids blocking the exit in the head.

At first I thought I never went to a McDonald's with an old playset because the ones in my city didn't have them, but then I remembered I did visit this one McD's on the way to my family's cottage that had what you are talking about.

I remember these 2 cheeseburgers that you could crawl through at least. There was more stuff but I don't remember. It was gone by 1992 I think.

not all of them had the gap.

off course any kid that couldn't squeeze through those must have been one fat kid.

We had about 3 McDonalds in my town growing up and I think two of them had the outdoors playground, one of which would be the one I almost always went to.

Then in the mid 90's or so they built a brand new McDonald's with an indoor playland. Then years later they removed the older play areas.

'Twas a sad for the kid in me. :'(

I remember going to some indoor ones there was one whre you went up some stairs and then went down a slide, and later there was one that had a ball pit inone rooom and onther room was empty and you had to crawl through both rooms to get to the slide. They were both indoors. Now our McDonalds just has an indoor play area with tubed and slides. I remember hearing about a littel boy who was on a merrry-go-round at a McDonalds restaurant and he stood up and he got his foot stuck in a hole or something like that. I don't remember the whole story because I was very little.

I remember when Discovery Zone had the Power Rangers stuff I have some cards from when I wnet to one when I was ten. The cards had these challenges on them and you had to do things like go down the ranger roller slide 5 times and things like that. I don't know if I still have the cards or not, I remember using them for bookmarks when I was younger. As for pogs at McDonalds I only remember ever getting Batman pogs.

Some crappy kids used to bury their fries & hamburgers in the balls, so you'd be jumping around in there and all of a sudden you'd find 3 hamburgers smashed under your feet.

One time I was at a McD's when a kid puked in the pit (I was not in it, I was too old).

They just hosed it down for a while to clean it up. Now I cringe when I think of ball pits and how dirty they are.

From the 80's I remember the Cheeseburger merry go round and the ride on burger things that had the spring coming out of it. Also the metal spiral slippery dip.

The merry go round was the best though.

Does anybody know if Burger Kings still have playgrounds? The one near me had a really cool one back in the 80's, but they don't have one anymore, and I can't remember seeing a Burger King with a playground lately. Maybe I'm not paying attention.

Yeah, a few of the Burger Kings where I live still have them.
