This sweet little tale of family-bonding really has left an impact on my life the likes of which the Horror genre of today can't even come close to touching. What did you think about this "dark-comedy"? Share your favorite heart-warming moments of this incredible film.

Don't forget about this frightful pair. All that's missing is Roadblock.

This image always freaked me out. I pray that when I have children they aren't twin girls, they would freak me out too much.

Best Horror movie I've seen. Way better than all this Hostel/Saw bullshit we get nowdays.

I totally agree and just once I'd like to open an elevator have there be a big pool of blood emerge from it.

Ah, I would love to visit The Stanley Hotel in which it was filmed at. It would be quite orgasmic.

I just found out there was a mini series staring Steven Weber that was closer to the book.

Really? The person who told me about it said it was ok. It's on youtube so I was planning on watching it.

By all means watch it, I've personally never seen it. I just hear there are fat kids who can't act and hedge-animals that come to life. Sounds kinda fucky.

I've seen the one with Stephen Weber, Rebecca DeMornay is in it too. While it is good because it sticks pretty much exactly to the book, it's kind of cheesy. The acting isn't that great compared to the original, and you can definatly tell the special effects were for a cheap made for T.V. mini-series.

The original, while it strays from the book quite a bit, is better because of the ambience, music, acting, and Stanley Kubrick can make anything creepy. And of course there's Jack Nicholson. While watching the Stephen Weber one I couldn't get past the fact that it was the guy from Wings.

Exactly, the guy from "Wings". Just doesn't sound scary.

Rumour is, Tim Daly (another guy from wings) was offered the role but turned it down.

I saw steven weber in tales from the crypt and he was alright

                                          Exactly.
The worst actor of ever, is the Cwub-Foods kid in the TV series. He plays Danny, but he sucks shit.
He looks like every southern grandma is about to jump out, and pinch his fat little stupid cheeks.
