Here's a list of films that were box office bombs in the US.

I must say, there are some films that completely caught me by suprise, but check out the list yourself.

Nothing on that list is a suprise to me. I don't really think you can fairly call a movie a bomb unless you take in to account the amount of money it has made worldwide. The American box office alone doesn't much any more.

A lot of the more recent movies probably covered any gaps with DVD sales.

Geez, I just hope Soul Plane or any of Paris Hilton's movies aren't on that list.

Wow, I was surprised to see The Wizard of Oz on there.

That is interesting. But a lot of those I thought were direct to video sales.

Yeah, I remember hearing how "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" with Eddie Murphy was the biggest bomb ever considering its huge budget.

I laughed out loud at "Zyzzyx Road"...how could it only have grossed $30? Did no one who made the movie buy it/see it?

$30 includes the $10 which was refunded to the member of the crew who went to see the movie. It actually only grossed $20.

Well, to be fair, it was only shown once in one theater for 6 days in some middle of nowhere Texas town...
