    		 CEO Howard Schultz has announced the closure, starting at 5:30 p.m. local time, to energize 135,000 employees.

    Starbucks' 7,100 stores across America will participate in the brief barista re-education.

    Schultz says he wants baristas to share their passion for making espresso, or as he says, ``to pull the perfect shot, steam milk to order and customize their favorite beverage.''

    Schultz says it's part of his refocusing on the coffee customer experience.

    Since the chairman returned as CEO in January he has been making changes to revive Starbucks' growth.


    My opinion, they fucken suck.

              		 Starbucks is for Yuppies who will pay $4 for a mocha choca latte with extra creme and whipped cream and cocoa shavings crap. They're coffee has a bad aftertaste.

                		 Starbucks really is just a status thing. There really is no point paying that much for a cup of coffee when you can get just as good of a cup from a number of other places, it's all about having that Starbucks cup to prove you're cool or whatever. I knew a girl several years ago who would go get her coffee from 7-11, pour it into a Starbucks cup, and take it to class.

                I don't know how it is now, but back in the late 90's and early 2000's every Starbucks was just full of kids who most of them you could tell hated the taste of coffee. They just hung out at the tables trying to act cool and sophisticated, basically because they wanted to be like the people on Friends.

                  		 Who cares if Starbucks is too mainstream or for yuppies or hippsters, they make excellent coffee thats well worth the money. Timmy Hoes(Tim Hortons) and Dunken Doughnuts make shitty coffee cause why else, it's a fast food joint. Why would you base a coffee joint on the people who go there, if they make excellent coffee then who cares.
