I mix ranch and BBQ sauce when dipping my fries. Is that odd?

We also eat burgers made from buffalo meat most Fridays.

I don't know about strange but it certainly isn't common around where I am.

Here in Texas venison isn't that uncommon, since we have a bunch of deer and a lot of hunters. All I've ever had was venison sausage, summer sausage, and beef jerky. I've never had a venison steak or anything like that, but I hear it's good.

            I like this thread. HEY-OH! :-O

I've been reading through it, and it cracks me up all the people whose strangest thing they've eaten is stuff like fried squid or venison.

I would say the weirdest thing I've ever eaten is snake meat. I didn't care for it, probably because I knew it came from a snake. It grossed me out.

Oh, and I'm 99.9% sure I've eaten both dog and cat meat (in fact, I'm sure most of you have as well).

Through all those mystery meat school lunches, low-quality hot dogs, McDonalds... I'm pretty sure that I've avoided eating a dog or a cat.

But I used to frequent this chinese buffet a lot. I mean, everyday after school for months. One day they were closed by the health department.

Next day, in big bold letters on the front page of the local paper: "YUMS GRAND BUFFET CAUGHT WITH DOG AND CAT CARCASSES". Apparently, their meat locker was packed full of dog and cat carcasses. I ate everything there, including the stuff with the little meat strips covered in so much sauce you don't know what it is.

Usually when people say venison it's deer meat. But it can also mean any kind of meat that comes from wild game that you killed by hunting. But I think everybody here has been talking about deer meat.

Has anyone ever watched "Bizarre Foods" on the Travel channel? The host has eaten some of the nastiest things I've ever seen, like fried whole bat (its TEETH were still visible), brains of all sorts, most all internal organs, fermented shit, etc. He must have an iron stomach...

I try to avoid any show where somebody is eating bugs, brains, or anything like that. I don't have the stomach to watch it, how they do it I don't know.

Fermented shit goes well with fermented cockroach eyeballs, I've found.

Remember as kids when you would be at a restaurant, usually seperate from the grownups because they would have stopped this from happening, and you would start mixing everything you could find in with a soda? Ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, little pieces of leftover food, sugar packets, whatever was around. And everybody would be daring each other to drink. I took the dare once and took one sip, and had to run to the bathroom to vomit.

Every day of my junior year of high school the guys I sat with and myself would gather all of our nasty, weird little bits and condiments and combine them in those little milk cartons.

When lunch was over, we walked outside and threw it at the wall with a grenade. We once covered this poor girl in that stuff because she walked out the door at the wrong time.

Well in Texas Rabbit and Snake aren't that odd, I've never had rabbit though. And I've had shark quite a few times. Never tried eel though.

It's very good battered and fried, same as you would catfish.

^ Eel is good, I like it prepared Asian style. Rabbit is okay, don't remember hating it. But I think shark tastes bad, which is fine because shark isn't good to eat anyways, they have one of the highest levels of mercury, along with swordfish.

There's very bad & weird things in McDonalds Chicken Nuggets.
Just cut one in half, and look inside. You will see what appears to be the inside of an ear, and Bishop's guts from Aliens(when the queen alien ripped him in half).

I mean it's probably not bad, but I would imagine the meat is pretty tough considering the amount of muscle tissue they have. I couldn't eat it because I like horses.

Yeah, but I eat horse because I like cows, fishes and chickens.

I've eaten shark and jelly fish too. And crab's brains.
