It tries to lip sync with whatever tapes you pulls in. It's kinda surreal watching it sing Slayer songs.

That would be a good premis for a horror movie

I always wanted to get one to play 2 Live Crew.

I heard its mouth doesn't move for non-Ruxpin tapes, though?

Yeah, I don't think it moves with other tapes. He refused to sing to my Barbie and the Beats tape.

My little cousin had one. We'd put in all kinds of tapes and it worked most of the time with other tapes. As for the horror movie idea, I think it would seem too much like a Child's Play clone.

I remember when i was a kid John Menzies had one on display.
if i had a time machine i would go back and record some death metal half way through it. and watch the horror.

The ALF talking doll did try to sync with non-ALF tapes. Now that was funny. Teddy Ruxpin didn't lip-sync with non Teddy Ruxpin tapes. My neighbor's brother had one and we tried it.

I loved the Teddy Ruxpin cartoon! but the doll looked creepy!
Kinda reminds me of the bear on A.I.
