My ex girlfriend is a Family Support Coordinator for a place here in Pennsylvania, and she deals with families of autistic children as her child (before she met me) HAD autism himself. Yes, HAD. He just turned 10 this month and hardly shows any signs of autistic behavior anymore. Some signs are still there but his doctor basically sais that he hardly exhibits any more signs. I asked my ex about this and she said that it's a rare case. In any way, I'm sure she would be interested in reading the article too. Please keep us posted.

Honestly, is it REALLY a good idea to tell people on the Internet that you have Autism? I mean, you know how people can be mean and stuff... just check out how mean people can be to this autistic person. (Even though she deserves it.)

I don't have autism. However, maybe a slight case of ADD, as my mind tends to wonder sometimes but I don't think the two conditions are similar at all.

She has PTSD 'cause she missed an episode of Sonic X? Cheezus christ.
Asperger's Syndrome isn't that big a deal. It's just a little social awkwardness and other crap that could get in the way of things. (like obsessions with cartoons and fictional characters =P)
It pisses me off when people blow this crap out of proportion and blame their Autism on every single thing that they do wrong. When it comes to mental retardation and severe autism, it's understandable. But aspies and the mentally retarded are two completely different people. Then again, I guess it depends on how severe the case of autism is but people like KirbyLover could surely help their actions if they tried.

I know someone with assburgers, and its completely shaped his life. He can't form any type of interpersonal relationship and is generally ostracized by his family.

i guess there's nothing wrong with being autistic as long as you show your inner self with others and affect them in a good way, that makes you a better person
