Before seeing it had you encountered any kind of serious blow to the head from a blunt object?

No Country For Old Men is one of those movies you gotta give your full attention to. If you doze off for even a few minutes, you're gonna get lost...

That being said, Howdy is right on. Usually I'm not in to those "Oscar-type" movies, but this kept me interested for sure. The ruthlessness of Anton Chigurh was unbelievable and very well deserving of the Best Movie & Supporting Actor Oscar.

I finally rented this. I was not disappointed.

The action is not over the top, but has an impact on the viewer. There were a few scenes that lingered in my head long after the film had ended. It was also kind of cool the way they managed to capture Texas circa 1980.

They haven't invented movies in braille yet.

Awesome movie, awesome conversation about movie, awesome thread....complete with JP power tripping! I vote a 10 on this thread.

What are you talking about. It was about a man who comes across a bag of 2 million dollars worth of blood money and decides to keep it for himself believing it will bring him a long life of happiness and luxury. Instead, it brings him a short life of fear and death for everyone he comes in contact with and eventually death for himself and his family. What part of that premise didn't make sense?
...anyway, I saw it a few days ago. I thought it was awesome! Definitly one of my new favorites, and I am now absolutly certain that the Coen Brothers are the best directors of our day.

Mine had a nightmare about Chigurh. I was like "What? Really? That's awesome..haha".

My wife actually has a crush on the actor who plays Chigurh.

What the heck was up with the ending? It didn't really have a climax. Other than that it was a great movie.

I think that kind of showed the realistic and frightening aspect of how things in real life go unresolved and without closure.

                                I liked it very much.

                                The ending... oh well.

It's based on a book, a lot of books don't have a huge climactic ending, the climax happens earlier in the story.

The ending is basically supposed to emulate the working title. It really is no country for old men.

This is the only movie in recent years that I actually sat through all the way. It's a damn good movie.
