Video Jukebox 6 years 10 months ago Posts: 1069	Ah, yes. Godfathers I and II were both classics. The baptism scene alone is incredible. I've only seen parts of the third one and have been told watching it all the way through isn't worth it. A shame, that.

Ilikethepixies 6 years 10 months ago Posts: 6051 Globally Banned	I have never watched them. I really should. The only thing I've seen of that is the ending of Godfather III. I was completely lost as to what was going on in the plot, but it looked kind of cool.

The gangsters don't come off quite as thuggish as in Goodfellas (well, except Sonny) But on the whole, Godfather is somewhat of a better film. Goodfellas is a great film, maybe one of the top 50 of all time, but Godfather's top 5, at least.

Predaking 6 years 10 months ago Posts: 920	I enjoyed all 3 Godfathers, even the 3rd one, which by critics gets boo'ed upon because of Francis Ford Coppolas daughter who by the way Directed a few known films. But I enjoyed the story as much as the other ones. Goodfellas was a good flic too but I preferred Godfather and Donnie Brasco better.

I remember being like 13 and watching Part II on HBO, how the hell I managed to sit through that whole thing and not change the channel I don't know, because I had no clue what was going on. And when they show it on T.V. there is a 15 minute intermission. The video game was pretty awesome too. I think the Godfather is one of those instances where the movie is actually better than the book. I thought the book was pretty crappy compared to the film. Plus Mario Puzo is kind of a perv. There is an entire chapter where he goes on and on about how big this girls koochie is, and it has nothing to do with the plot.
