I'm in utter pain right now so I'll try to make this brief.
NFL notes:
6-0 - The Colts are STILL undefeated, despite falling quickly into a 17 - 0 hole in the beginning, they came back with a vengeance to win it with a comfortable lead of 48-28. The only team that may keep them from being undefeated into their bye week are the Houston Texans... yeah right. As I said in my first sports posting, this team will be 7-0 into their bye week, where they will recoup and continue to dominate into the playoffs. Will they lose a game until then? It's likely, but teams have gone undefeated before in the regular season. Perhaps this rare phenomena is in the works right now with the Colts this season.
Maddux - Now we all know he's no Ben Rothlisberger, and the Steelers fan world knows that better than anyone else, but what if Ben's injury was worse than it was? What if he was out, God forbid, for the rest of the season? Does the entire Steelers team hinge on the health of their star rookie quarterback? Every time Ben takes a hit, Steelers fans across the country pray louder than Muslims at Mecca. Fortunately, the prayers have been answered, he should return next game. But what about the next time?
Dallas - The Cowboys have now beaten the always dominant team in the NFC (the Eagles) and have beaten the highest scoring team in the NFL (the Giants). Now the question is, are they as good as they appear to be, or did lady luck play a small part? Perhaps the other teams simply had off-days. But if the Cowboys truly are this good, the NFC is in for a star that hasnt risen since their 1996 run to their last superbowl victory.
Baseball notes:
1959 - This is the year of the last World Series debut of the Chicago White Sox. Personally, I'm excited that these teams who were shunned from the spotlight for so long can get a chance to win the big game. Who's next, the Rockies? Unfortunately, the Angels feel they have been cheated, ever since the dropped 3rd strike play awhile back.
Cardinals are still alive - despite homefield advantage, needing only one more win to take the division and move on to the world series, the Houston Astros came up short against the St. Louis Cardinals. Who do you think will finally come out on top? And will they be able to defeat the White Sox?

The ending to the Cowboys-Giants game was just insane. Cowboys leading 13-6 with 4 mins left, Eli Manning leads an impressive drive all the way to the one capped off by a nice Tiki Barber run. Then at the one yard line Tiki's backup Brendan Jacobs fumbles. The commentary crew was all over that one. Why wasnt Tiki Barber in there with the game on the line? So Dallas takes over with over a minute left but they dont get anything done, they cant run out the clock so they gotta punt with like 50 secs left. Giants get the ball at the 50 yard line, Manning again with an impressive drive along with just bad Dallas defense, touchdown pass to Shockey, this game is headed to OT just like that. The Giants were as good as done after the fumble but nope, what a great comeback. But it didnt matter cus Dallas gets a field goal in OT, and all is forgiven. Talk about tense ending.
So far my White Sox winning it all prediction is going smoothly. I said they had pitching and hotdamn do they have pitching. Starters went 44 1/3 innings out of a possible 45. THATS INSANE!! Their relievers got only 2 outs the entire series! Vlad Guerrero goes like 1 for 20, Angels offense is never in it. AJ has 3 controversial plays: the big strike three ball in the dirt thing, the mitt off Steve Finley's bat, and the phatom tag from Escobar. Everything just went the White Sox way and I think this is their year.
Having Brad Lidge on my fantasy team this year, I knew he was a bit overrated. So many times I looked at my boxscores and saw him give up runs, he's good but not like all these guys say he is. He didnt have it tonight cus Pujols tattooed that slider. Lidge has been overworked this series. But the Cards still have to go through Oswalt and Clemens and I'm still going with my Astros pick.
The NBA has enforced a dress code so guys like Allen Iverson cant wear jerseys, bling, caps and doo-rags, baggy jeans and other fly gear.
Awwww....too bad.
Amare Stoudamire went through the same surgery guys like Jamal Mashburn and Allan Houston went through that wrecked their promising careers too soon. Amare's very promising so if I were a Suns fan I'd be worried.
Cant wait for the NBA season. The Warriors look good, Baron Davis is THE MAN. Can they finally get to the postseason after all these dreadful years?
Now, I'm off to take a cruise with the Minnesota Vikings....WHAT?Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No - 9 years 1 month ago

ASTROS WIN!!!
Okay, now it has come down to two teams that a year ago might not have been considered the ones to fight for the top spot... actually maybe the astros have been up there but certainly the White Sox is a pleasant surprise.
Place your bets! (not literally, I don't want to get arrested) Who's going to come out on top? Will it be an even match that goes 7 games or will it be a sweep? Who looks to have the edge?
To me, the White Sox have had a chance to rest up. Even though they may come on the field a bit rusty, and the Astros fresh from their win, I think the White Sox have a little more edge than the Astros.
But! I have been proven wrong before. When the Angels played the white sox, it was in a similar situation. Yet, the white sox lost that first game. So maybe it pays to stay in motion, so to speak.

classy........can I come too?
Can you guys beleive the USC/Notre Dame game??!??!?!??!!?!?
ESPN is already calling it the greatest college football game of all time. Personally I was pissed off because I hate USC. The only team I hate worse than USC is FSU(Florida State). But this was an amazing game. Before this game the highlight of the college football season was that kid from alabama catching a pass behind the defenders back. And that was awesome. But this was a good game. I recorded it on my DVR and watched it twice. That last minute fumble out of bounds....amazingly lucky for USC. Notre Dame should have won that game.
I am, for the record, a Huge Nebraska Cornhuskers fan with Texas a close second place. Texas is going to be national champions this year. Over USC and Virginia Tech.
Texas over Texas Tech 38-14
Nebraska over Missouri 31-28Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No
