i am a child of the 80's early 90's an di remember the plight of AFRICA was a big thing and every night on the news they would show thos pics of the children with the swollen bellies and flies around their mouth :x ..hated to see it , but my dad will alway make us watch it and say " yuh see , watch them and all yuh here playin the ass and watsing food, them wish they had food to watse" i don't know how many of you experienced that.
Sega Genesis and Nintendo was the biggst games anyone could have, if you had one you had alot of bragging rights in school ...lucky for me i didnot get it for for christmas or christmases that came after .... i recently bought a PS2, living out my childhood dream i guess.
Me and my sister couldn't wait to get home to see Seame Street.. not that drivel that showing now  ....they really have gone to the dogs.

          Dude that was uncalled for.

Regardless, you're not planning on writing an article about this right? Everyone has the same memories around here believe me. My dad was all "waste not, want not" when he forced me to watch Live Aid (such "cruel" punishment hehe) so I guess I know what you're talking about there. Suck that you didn't have a 16-bit console in their prime though. Those were amazing!

In fact, I'm gonna whip out the old MegaDrive and play some Sonic 3 right now!

I wrote one of my classmates a love note when I was in 5th grade and his name was Neil. He harassed me first so I did it back to him and I wrote him a couple of love notes. I was caught after a few of my classmates saw the note that I wrote and my teacher took it up. My teacher even told my mom about it. I was embarrased by a couple of students in my grade that were not in my class. One of them asked me if I liked Neil and I bent the truth by yelling "No, I don't!!" and I did the exact same thing when another student said that I loved Neil. I didn't heard my teacher say that she was going to call my mom when I did that. I just knew after I got home from school that my mom was going to have chat with me about doing something that had to do with Neil and she did. My mom told me that I needed to stop following him around, but I could like him and I whined to my mom that he talks stupid and I didn't do it. My mom said "Yes, you did!!" and I told her rudely "No, I didn't you little liar. My mom told me not to call her a liar. I acted crazy about the boy. He made fun of me at my elementary school graduation by laughing at me and pointed his finger at me while doing it. All I did was I acted like a princess by saying hi to him in a sweet voice. Neil talked funny is why I said that he talks stupid and I know it's not a nice thing to say.
