    		 I think that if the people in a certain place find it disgusting to have your pants down around your knees with your skibbies hanging out, it should be their right to make a law against it. I think that's what a good democracy does.

            		 Just now?! Where has your city been? We banned that like 10 years ago. Well, I should say you had to wear a belt with them fully pulled up in public, but mainly at school. If they're banning them completely, it's probably because they're afraid of concealed weapons or something.

            Whoever made underwear a fashion statement should be shot.

            That's almost true. They're not allowed to wear belts (or shoe laces) in prison, hence the sagging. It went from prison to the streets- gangs started dressing that way from the prison style. I'm trying to remember the rap artist who made it popular... But I know that Snoop Dog and other gangsta rappers at the time made it a trend.

                            		 I don't have a problem with baggy pants, it's the pants pulled down below the butt-cheeks to purposely show off one's underwear that I find annoying. Some of the guys I've seen have their pants slung so low they may as well not even be wearing pants! If a guy did go out without pants wouldn't he get arrested? What's the difference then if he has on pants but he is showing off everything he would if he weren't wearing them? I am so sick of people turning everything into a race issue. It takes important light off real racism. The ban is happening in my city as well and while I hate trend, I only partially support the ban. I think the law should only be directed toward people who have their pants pulled down below their underwear and they should add some corporal punishment. Public canings!
