System 7 years 16 days ago Posts: 74809	When I was little between the ages of four and six, I was staying at my aunt's house and my sister and I rented some movies. I seem to have a faint memory of watching a very old Care Bears episode. In the episode a little girl is jumping rope with her friends and she suddenly stops and she syas that she has a sore throat. I seem to remember that she went to school and was so sick that she had to go to the nurses office or something like that. Then she went to the doctor, and after that I remember she went to the hospital and a Care Bear comes to visit her. She has the operation, which I think was a tonsil operation, and then she was back in her room and her mom asks her how she is feeling and I remember she says that she is sleepy. Then you see her some time later and she able to play with her friends again because she no longer suffers from sore throats. Could somebody please let me know if they have this episode or know where I can find it. Youtube does not have the episode I have already checked.

PeachClover 6 years 8 months ago Posts: 6	I seem to recall finding that one in a video rental place, but it was stop-frame like: they would show a picture and tell a story over it before going to the next still. I think Friend Bear was the only CareBear in that epi. I do agree that the intro to the 1984 CareBear series was not climatic, but you have to remember it was 1984: that was the style for most cartoons. Personally, I prefer a relatively calm intro to a show: it makes it so that the episode is not fighting to out do the intro thus making it possible to end a show relatively relaxed instead of tense from the episode's quest to wow the viewer.
