Ok, in seeing the response to the "Movies we regret paying for" thread, I decided to start a thread for the movies we would pay to see again on teh big screen... My short list follows:

    1) The Adventures Of Robin Hood -- Classic movie, and to be able to see it on a full-on movie screen would be bliss, IMHO

    2) Star Wars/Empire/Jedi -- I will absolutely never get tired of this trilogy, and I would probably have a season pass if movie theaters had such a concept.

    3) LOTR trilogy -- See #2

    4) Close Encounters of the Third Kind -- The ending sequence at Devil's Tower ALONE is enough to make me wish this would get shown in theaters again...

    5) The Blues Brothers (1980) -- Come on, the car chase scene in this one DEMANDS more big screen time... Plus, it's got Princess leia wielding automatic weapons!!! What more do you need?

    6) Raiders of teh Lost Ark -- Do I really need a reason to hope that this gets up on the big screen again someday?

And I'll stop there for now... So sound off... what movies would YOU pay to see again?

          1) Harry Potter movies
          2) Teen Wolf (although honestly I saw it for free in theaters last year)
          3) Wayne's World

I remember seeing some cool stuff in the drive-in back when I was in like 1st-3rd grade, but I don't remember what. I remember I saw that terrible Tom and Jerry movie. I'm thinking I saw Ghostbusters and possibly one of the Ninja Turtles movies....

Oh I would love to see Clue in the theater again! And Creepshow would have been awesome to see too, but I was born 3 years too late for that. I would also like to see Disney's Hunchback again in theaters and Song of the South (though that's from a WAY long time ago)

Monty Python and the Holy Grail would be cool to see. And whoever said Home 2 that would be awesome too.

The classic movie to always see in theaters that they still play is The Rocky Horror Picture Show but seeing it when it was at it's peak would've been excellent! My favorite movie is The Return Of The Living Dead so I can't miss that if it were to be in theaters. My favorite kids movie is Labyrinth and I love all the songs in it and Jim Henson/George Lucas are brilliant. Creepshow movies are classics. And the Star Wars series made a huge impact to where it'll be back in theaters again in 3-D soon enough. I paid to see it in theaters when the original trilogy made new changes and it was unbelievable! I seen Episodes 1-3 the 1st days they came out in the theater. I wasn't born for Episode 4 but I was born in 1980 and I'm 25 years old right now but I was too young for the original 3 series to see in theaters so it was cool to see the re-release newer versions.

                        1) The Rocky Horror Picture Show
                        2) The Return Of The Living Dead
                        3) Labyrinth
                        4) Creepshow 1 and 2
                        5) Star Wars series (all of them)

Ugh. I hate the listing game, because there's always stuff you forget.

Anyway, here are a few movies I'd like to see in theatres again. I only put stuff I actually saw in theatres. I mean, I'd love to see E.T. on the big screen, but I only ever saw it on TV and video, so it doesn't really count as one I want to see [i]again[i/].

                              Jurassic Park

                              Hook

                              Jumanji

                              Angels In The Outfield

                              Beauty And The Beast

                              The Rescuers Down Under

                              Forrest Gump

                              The Lion King

                              Toy Story

                              Star Wars, ESB, and ROTJ

                              The TMNT movies

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually getting nostalgic for this movie lately...)

Lawrence of Arabia - video can't do it justice. I would love to see it on the big screen just once.
Star Wars - original trilogy and Phantom Menace (only for the final battle)
                                  Superman
                                  Spider-man 1&2
                                  X-Men 1&2
                                  Matrix - first one only
                                  Braveheart
                                  Predator
                                  Aliens

Daniel85's right. There's just too many. But these would top the list.
                                  "Serenity now. Insanity later."

Was "It" ever in theaters or was it a made for tv movie? I was too young when it came out but I love it now and something about a scary clown being on the big screen makes the movie sound even scarier and better.
