I'm think of analyzing the main characters of the movie, one at a time, and writing an article.

That sounds like a good idea. You can even blend in some information about the Edwardian Era, the ship itself, and the real passangers (Like Molly Brown, Captain Smith, ect.) the characters interacted with, just to make it more interesting.

The director, James Cameron, shows the various reactions to this time of crisis in people's lives. Everyone reacts differently and he gets you to think of how you might have reacted had you been in that situation on the Titanic on that fateful night. In addition, this film is a reflection of the 1990's when it was produced as it gives a look into the wreck of the Titanic.

For me this is a nice film to watch.
