I don't think Akira ever used any CGI in their film, yet it was way more advanced than anything you saw in a traditional cell animated cartoon, even 5-6 years after Akira was made. It was simply ahead of it's time.

I was one of teh few kids who saw DB in the 80s adn I loved it so it holds a special place for me, and Z was cool because it continued the story on. But hoenstly, if I had never seen the original, I wouldnt care a t all for Z, its not that great and I don't see why people praise it the way the do. Sure I love it, but for its far from teh Greatest anime of all time.

The Ronin Identity 1 year 6 days ago Posts: 410	I love Anime, some of my favourites are; Cowboy Bebop Black Lagoon Samurai Champloo Noir Patlabor the movie (1 and 2) Ninja Scroll Ghost in the Shell (movies and Stand Alone Complex series) Darker than Black I haven't seen anyone mention Black Lagoon, I loved the show and definitely recommend it. Cowboy Bebop is one of the greatest shows ever made period and Ghost in the Shell is awesome especially the series but I warn you I had to watch it a couple times to really get a full understanding of the story. I never really could get into DBZ or pokemon etc.
