It doesn't matter if Nintendo releases it's shell controller or not. It isn't being packaged in with the system itself, meaning no third party company is going to make games for it, because they *HAVE* to assume that most of the Revolution owners will only have that stupid wand. Which means they *MUST* reprogram their games to work with the wand. Which means a lot of extra work and money invested in a Revolution port, which means far less companies will even try.

The Revolution will doubtlessly have some killer first party games, but they just kissed any hope of getting ports goodbye. There will be no Mortal Kombat on the Revolution. There will be no nothing that wasn't originally designed to work with the wand.

Essentially, Nintendo just became the MAC of the video game world. Few good things, but completely incompatible with what the rest of the world is using.

Actually, a lot of game producers are turning to Nintendo due to the projected sales of the PS3 and its lovely pricetag. I can't argue much further beyond what I've read in print. Let's just say it'll be an interesting outcome. Oh, and I'm all for the Wii.
