Would Homestarrunner be considered retro? it started out in '96 as a kids book but made into a flash near 2000... Help?

Personally I don't consider anything newer than 1990 to be retro but really it is all relative to each person. There are people that would laugh at the 80's being considered retro.

I wouldn't consider it retro mainly because it hasn't had a huge impact on our culture like SpongeBob, MM Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles or anything else you see shoved into our faces in the aisles of Walmart and Target.

Agreed. Now once we hit 2010 then things from the 90's will become retro.

                    I love Homestar Runner.

I own the Strong Bad e-mails on DVD. My sister ordered them for my birthday. :D8)

Spongebob can't be retro, he's still around. Let him lose steam and die for about seven years and then hge's retro.

I didn't find out about it until a year later.

I love home star, homsar is my favourite character. As for it being 'retro', it wasn't really a children's book, well...I suppose it was, but the brothers chaps (creators of homestar) only released it for friends and family, not to the public, has anyone seen the VERY first hr cartoon? the one with the tag-team wrestling? it's my favourite! :D

There are mirrors of it floating around the internet if anyone else wants to see it:
