I use to be big into collecting cards, stopped, and then in the last few years, I've been rebuilding my collection (late 70's to about 90/92 in the four big sports).
Today I got a box of 1980 Topps football.
Great design. Not alot of player selection (the Phil Simms rookie being the big card). Very cool Walter Payton card.
My favorite cards of the decade would probably be...
-80 Topps Walter Payton
-81 Topps Montana rookie, just classic.
-Any 83 Bears (Jim McMahon, Mike Singletary, Payton)
-84 Topps Marino and Elway rookies
-Almost any 86 Topps cards. I have fond memories of these, collecting them as a kid. The Marino, Eric Dikerson, Montana.
-Almost any 80's 49'er cards. What an incredible team.
-Then the 88 Topps Bo Jackson, for nostalgia. That card was on fire in the late 80's.
