I dreamt of Sonic Action Figures when I was about eight and I even drew designs for them. They were elaborate. Then Sonic Adventure came out in 1999 and ReSaurus finally made the toys I had been dreaming of.
Heh...or so I thought. I only had the Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic Adventure figure. Twice. Let me explain. The first one was $5.99 from KB Toys during the original run of the toys. I ended up breaking him and I thought it might be a great and fun opportunity to give him a custom paint job and then fix him. I painted him orange with black shoes. I called him Electro the Hedgehog and he was a character of my own design. I ended up breaking it again and I was like "Fuck it." Those figures were damn fragile.
The second time I had the figure was when I found the toy at Marc's (a chain of discount stores) for $1.99 (A STEAL!!). I thought, "Hmmm...maybe I'll just open the figure and stand him on top of my computer tower and not play with it. One day I got really pissed off at my computer and I punched the tower, sending poor Sonic to his doom. The thing shattered into brittle little bits of plastic. Funny, I didn't know Action Figures had a shelf life. Piece of Shit. I guess they don't make them like they used to...-_-
