    		 Hello, I am working on my first article on here, as a search for forgotten video characters did not turn up any results. I was hoping that y'all might know of some that I do not, as I'm familiar only with Gex the Gecko, Earthworm Jim, Earthbound, and I know of Banjo Kazooie and Conker. Conker did have a somewhat recent sequel, but I would still consider him forgotten because I have also heard that the sequel flopped. I also think I'll include the Chrono Series even though that is a number of characters, but the characters seem to be another forgotten franchise.

    Does anyone have any other suggestions for forgotten video game characters that I can include in my article?

      		 1) Pit (even though he DID have a "sequel" on the gameboy, and he is in SSB:B)

        		 How far back are you going to? Back to the old arcade characters like Q-Bert, Frogger, Pitfall Harry, Pacman or more recent?

            I'm hoping to go back to at least the NES. I was born in 1986, and I remember playing the NES as a child so any earlier is a bit before my time ^^' However, I by no means mind researching characters even earlier from the Atari systems or whatnot, I can always ask my parents (and I have an Atari flashback :x)

                  Blasto (Blasto. The only reason a sequel wasn't made was due to the death of Phil Hartman)

                    		 the new Conker wasn't a sequel... it was just a port of the first game that had an expanded multiplayer.... it was the same game

                        		 Awesome, everyone! I've been a tad bit busy this week (that's why I haven't replied before now) but these are all awesome. I remember Blasto, I actually have that on a demo disc I think, I'll have to check. I remember Croc also, the rest are new to me but I'll have to do some research, sounds fun!

                            Glad to help. I have the full versions of Blasto & Croc: legend of the gobbos for my PS1. Blasto's incredibly hard never completed it.

                            Here's a few more forgotten character's:

                            Sir Daniel Fortesque (Medievil, Medievil 2. I don't count Medievil: Ressurection because it was a crappy remake of the first one)

                            Cosmi (Under the skin)

                            Tomba (Tomba!, Tomba! 2)

                            Hugo (He had a lot of games but I don't ever here much about him now-a-days. Plus I don't know if he was ever that popular outside of Ireland/Germany)

                            Larry Lovage (Leisure suit Larry: Magna cum laude. This guy was supposed to be Larry Laffer's
                            nephew. Unlike Larry Laffer, Larry Lovage only got one game. A sequle entitled Leisure suit Larry: Coco Butter was planned but was subsequently cancelled)

                                        		 Thank you everyone! I've come up with a list of 12 characters I will use for the article, if I used every single one here, the article would get way too legnthy, and I know what short attention people tend to have LOL.

                                        Chrono series is getting a definite honorable mention, I'm not going to include it as an actual "forgotten character" because it is an entire franchise with tons of characters that died off...and you can't mention forgotten video game history without mentioning this classic series :)

                                        A lot of the characters mentioned I had not heard of, but I am in the process of doing research now and I hope that the article is up to everyone's expectations, I have no intention of skimping out on a character I don't know much of, so if I don't say enough or if I provide inaccurate information, please let me know..I'll work to correct it.

                                        The characters I am using who I do not know much of are:
                                        Ness of Earthbound (never played the game but remember Ness was in SSB),
                                        Pit from Kid Icarus (again, don't have the game but know he was a classic NES character),
                                        Q-bert (dont know a thing),
                                        Blasto (remember playing a demo and that it was very difficult, but don't have the game so don't know much past that),
                                        Sir Daniel Fortesque (never played a Medievil game),
                                        Bubsy the Bobcat (never owned a sega system..:'(),
                                        Conker (dont have the game but friend copied the great mighty poo's song to me :x)
                                        Croc (again, don't own the game)
                                        Earthworm Jim (I remember when he was popular but do not know any of his story or how the gameplay was)
