    Found this on youtube.

Not really banned as much as cut up.

It scared the crap out of kids and was heavy edited.

    This is the uncut version.

Did this scare you as a kid?

Oh man! I remember that pyramid skit! It creeped me out when I was little. Makes me laugh now though.

I kinda remember seeing this pyramid sketch on Sesame Street, but it could have been the edited one. I don't see what was so scary about it though.

Who's idea was it to have Bert and Ernie explore a pyramid in the first place?

The second one was banned for some of the lines in the song.

"i'll let him do whatever he wants to, even if he's bigger then me."

                    plus others.

I don't really see the big, big hoopla about it, but they were good finds on Youtube.

Before I watch one of these videos, are they going to bother me somehow?

The first one shows Ernie dancing with a mummy and the second sings a supposed pedo reference in a song.

well, its over 5 minutes which is way too long for a skit aimed at preschoolers, they probably cut out some of it to make it shorter for a young child's attention span.

I remember seeing this skit many times when I was young. It's exactly like I remember it too.

Now that I remember. Way too scary for me then , with the eerie music and dark lighting.

Oh, I remember the pyramid skit. I actually liked it, but I can see how that would scare a little kid. Just Ernie screaming "Bert" would spook a child.

Freaky. That would have scared me to bits when I was a kid.

Actually, what would be more freaky is if Ernie and Bert explored each other.

                                      Yikes.

They were fun to watch. As for being banned, people are just way too touchy in this day and age but I guess they have the right to considering the way society has sort of had a turn for the worst in the past few years.

I'm one of the ones who didn't watch Sesame Street much as a kid, so I never seen this. I don't see what the problem was to cut it (pyramid skit). You know, this is striking me as that Abbot & Costello movie where they meet Frankenstein and Dracula.
