today at a flea market I scored the rare/ HTF mattel drowsy doll with the kitty prinT(yes thats really what its called) pajamas version for , drum roll please, drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ding, $1.00 thats right I scored a valuable collectable for a buck go me, go me, its ma berfday, its ma befday, sorry about that but I couldn't help but gloat. anywho there are probably alot of you who don't have the slightest clue as to what I'm talking about so I've done you the liberty of finding a pic, http://tinyurl.com/2ps7qz , as well as some history about it, 1964-1980's Drowsy, 14" tall, vinyl head and hands on earliest dolls, later hands were cloth, stuffed cloth body, pull cord talker, sleep eyes, and painted facial features, earliest dolls were dressed in a Kitty print sleeper with feet and rear drop seat, later ones in same sleeper design now in pink with large white polka dots, both versions the box doubles as a cradle.
Marked on tag on back (the polka dot version, Kitty version maybe same or different): 3091 Drowsy 1964 Mattel. This was a very popular doll and Mattel reproduced it in 1984 and 2000, these dolls are similar but battery operated.

I forgot to mention that she isn't in the best shape (IE her hairs a mess, missing the buttons to hold up the flap in the back, left arm is torn in the back, missing mattel tag, missing talking string & pull-ring and otherwise just needs a good wipedown). Still though its a nice piece for my collection of unusual toys and board games. Toonfreak out.
cool, death by stereo! :The lost boys
