any1 else here have a commodore when they were growing up? we used to have the commodore 64 and then later the commodore 128.

i used to love playing impossible mission and space taxi. i also remember playin craystal castles, treasure island, rate race, moon patrol, rush n attack, rambo and escape from castle wolfenstein (the original game that wold3d and return to castle wolfenstein were based on...)

there were so many great games on that system, i don't remember them all. i was so addicted to that system, i used to play it every day when i got home from school.

heres a cool site that is LOADED w/ c64 games for download...

I had a C64, it was cool! The best thing about was that you could be a little pirate and copy your friend's games on a blank disk. My favorites were Action Biker, Jumpman, Forbiden Forest, Ultima II, Movie Monster, Championship Wresting, Space Taxi, Loderunner and Bruce Lee.

I had a Commodore 64 when I was very young and my favourite games were teenage mutant ninja turtles and also fun school. They were my favourite because theyre the only games I remember playing on the C64.

I really wanted one, but my parents refused considering they already bought an x286. Yup, Archon was a great game! We had C64's in the library and computer lab in middle school. Just before summer break, our typing teacher let us play nothing but games for the whole week. Her husband brought in a ton of 'em for us to swap out. I thought Aliens rocked.

I had Commodore 64 growing up.

me and my brother used to play it all the time.

our favorite games were: Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday and Ghostbusters

there was also this one game that had soccer and boxing on the same disk. i'll always remember than one of the boxers was named Heap Bignose. anyone else have this game?
just found it, it's called "The Big K.O."

Still have my C64 and every pirated warez disc I ever got.....and they still work, I fired that sucker up a few months ago and the 1541 was still reading those discs just fine.

Later on I moved to Amiga.....and then finally when VGA graphics hit, to the PC format.

                      Favorite C64 games:
                      Raid Over Moscow
                      BeachHead
any of the numerous fighting games they had
The Pawn (the only text adventure I ever really got into)
                      Skate or Die
                      California Games
                      Summer Games
                      Buggy Boy
                      Racing Destruction Set

hell I could go on for days here...

                      Infiltrator
                      Choplifter
                      Bounces
                      etc, etc, etc...

Thanks Dr Science for reminding me of Sammy Lightfoot! That was such an addictive game!

                        Some of my favourite games:
Rambo 2, Platoon, Falklands '82, Frankie, The Great Escape, The Great Gianna Sisters, Uuno Turhapuro, The Infiltrator....

And of course who can forget: Barbarian and Barbarian II...not the Psygnosis game, but the Conan vs. Conan game where you could lop off the head of your opponent, that that little dude would come out and laugh as he dragged the head off.

                          Sweeeeeeet ;)

Oh yeah! I forgot all about those two. A friend of mine actually got his copy confiscated by a teacher when we tried to play it in our middle school library. Thanks for the flashback.

c64 had awsome games for the era that people could actually afford. remember how the 1541 drive was more expensive than the computer? i did not have one during its hey day but managed to get a couple towards the end of the 90's, trully magical machines. now i have 2 c64 in a stick . one as a spare, i will never find myself in a world without commodore

C64 was the first game system I owned, I got it second hand from my aunt. I think I said in another thread that Gorf was my favorite game for it. Also had 2 role playing games that were all text, one was about a haunted house and the other was set in the woods (haunted woods?) If any one could tell me the names of either of them it would be awesome. :)
