Cockroaches and rides with animatronic dinosaurs, actually they still terrify me, except I dont mind killing roaches now but I still jump when one surprises me by crawling near me.

Haha, you're gonna laugh at this, but I used to have the Windows 95 demo disc, and I would always run and hide whenever the screen popped up and the Microsoft Sound played. I have no idea why.

Update: I went to the doctor's office this past week and when she went to stick the tongue depressor in my mouth I gagged like no other. *Grits teeth* It's so...weird. And irrational. I can't explain it, but, whatever. Just one of them things.

DOLLS. I was SO scared of these things. I remember my Mom bought me a beautiful porcelain doll once and when I got it home, I couldn't even bear to look at its face, so I put it where I couldn't see it!

I can still remember renting some movie on tape when I was a kid and when that Tri-Star thing came on, I went running into my room, jumped on the bed and put the pillow over my head as hard as I could. God, I'm so embarrased

Don't feel alone. I was scarred silly by the very same thing when I was a kid. For some reason I used to think that the music would signal the return of Satan himself, lol. I am so glad that that is behind me. Now if only I an do something about the Emergency Broadcast System. :)

What possibly stupid, everyday-type things used to terrify you guys when you were little? (not TV shows or movies)

for me it was whenever anyone popped a balloon with a pen and the awful beeping of the "this is a test of the emergency broadcast system" messages--if i knew either of those were coming id run to my room and lock myself in

Yeah, the emergency broadcast test was/is really weird. Me no likey.

The theme song to television's "MASH" still makes me recoil a bit, even to this day. I used to hear it late at night when I was a little kid with insomnia, and its become ingrained into my memory as "you need to get to sleep, your body cannot function without sleep, why can't you get to sleep"

Television station sign-off messages. It was like the end of the link to the known world.

I remember when I was a little kid I would walk past this one church St. Lawrence O'Toole and I was always scared that one day the giant metal Jesus on the side of the wall was gonna fall off and kill me. Scarily enough this church is located right across the street from a funeral home.

Ill carry no cash on me.. If I do, its a very rare occassion..

I was scared of unkown but who it isn't? And I was always scared of/creeped out by a town siren. It always made my skin crawl, specially as a kid. I never understood why it went off. Even now they are still a lil creepy. Was scared of alarm clocks too, just creepy beeping.

When I was nine years old, I watched Kubrick's adaptation of "The Shining." BAD idea! I developed a phobia of bathtubs with the shower curtain drawn for at LEAST two years. I would NEVER go into the bathroom late at night if I knew the curtain was drawn.
