When I was born (in 1984), my neighbors down the street had 3 teenage girls who became my family and babysat me on occasion. I was always given hand-me-downs by them, whether they were clothes, trendy things like snap bracelets or boardgames.. other crazy shit. Well, I may have asked this once before, but I can't remember at the moment if anyone responded.
I am about 98% positive this object was a hand-me-down, but I have my doubts. I was given this unit as a child that you plugged into the VCR (or TV, I really don't remember..) and you put this video into the player and you could play Hi Ho Cherry-o through the television. I'm know Hi Ho Cherry-O has been around longer than this unit haS been because I know it's a childs bored game, but I don't know if this unit was specifically for Hi Ho Cherry-O only, maybe you could play other games through it? I don't remember and it's driving me insane! The unit may have worked by touching certain squares on it? In fact actually, I'm positive it did. And because of this, I think you were able to play other games (on different VHX tapes) with this unit.
I guess certain toys from my youth really just left a huge impact on me and for a while I was really into this thing, did any of you have this thing? I've looked it up numerous times with no results. I mean, My She-Ra Crystal Falls playset (which when I was like 7, I insisted was a Sara Pool, lmao), Barbie Ice cream maker and this unit stick out the most.. Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? I know I'm not losing my mind, I just can't for the life of me remember what it was.. I even spoke to my mom about it and she remembers it, not much about it though. ANY help is appreciated!! Thanks a bunch Happy Reminiscing.
