    www.directorslabel.com

I almost wet my pants watching the first three discs that Universal released - including the works of Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry, but the second collection is just as cool (Anton Corbijn, Mark Romanek, etc). Since it's pretty much a disappointment every time I turn on MTV these days, it's nice to have a collection that goes back to the days when the videos actually meant something -- I would say that the 90s is the only generation where the directors meant anything to the videos, and videos could be considered works of art (hey, this could change, but right now it doesn't look like it will). So, if you're a 90s kid who is really into filmmaking and music, you'll love this...
...or for a bit of 90s nostalgia, I mean, I can't stand any of the new videos, they're awful, really.

Well, the 80's had "Thriller" by MJ! So there! :P

I'm sorry, the Thriller video was pretty cool, seriously, I forgot about that one. Romanek worked with Jacko on Scream, I think.

The "Smooth Criminal" video was pretty kick-ass too

Dammit, so you guys completely defeated my comment, but still, all the cool artsy videos were from the 90s, they don't really make many of them anymore.
