yeah but I think the Shinning needs to be in there somewhere it's the only one that still gives me the creeps today. I remember childs play being the first movie that really scared me though.

All must see movies if you love the horror genre! but be warned of "Cannibal Holocaust", it's a very unpleasant, realistic, horrifying and powerful flick from Italy that was the inspiration to "The Blair Witch Project" with the same kind of camera trickery and idea of searching for lost film footage. It also contains aborition, mutilation, cannibalism, real animals getting killed like a turtle being ripped open from it's shell, impalements, rape and sleaze abound. It's a difficult movie to watch but a rewarding one too, coming to DVD on october 25th.

Two words, Evil Dead. Definitely the first movie to give me nightmares as a kid. Im too much of a horror movie fanatic to go on and list them all, but.

                All Nghtmare on Elm Streets.
All Friday the 13th up until A New Beginning.
                All Halloweens up until H20.
                Pumpkinhead.
                The Howling.
A few more that I cant name off the top of my head right now.

I grew up watching so many horror movies that a child definitely should not see that I've pretty much become immune to all of them.

                    the hills have eyes

                    dawn of the dead-first one
